Christmas Break

It feels like we have been celebrating Christmas all week. I have been baking yummy treats and taking Dallin outside to play in the snow. He loves being outside especially in the cold, wet, white stuff that I'm sure he doesn't know is snow yet. I think Dallin will grow up loving the snow just like his Daddy.

On Christmas Eve we spent it playing games when Scott got home from work. Then we all opened our Christmas pajamas and we let Dallin open one small gift that was in his stocking.

Then on Christmas day we opened presents after breakfast. Dallin wanted to play with each one after he opened it so it took awhile, but it was fun watching his face light up when he saw all of his new toys. Thanks to all of our family who shipped our gifts to us. Then before lunch and nap time we took Dallin sledding. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!

Momma's Scarf

Dallin is full of surprises now. I find him in boxes, climbing on shelves, hiding things in the Christmas tree, and today he came walking down the hall wearing my scarf. He is trying too hard to smile in these pictures and that is why his eyes are closed. These are the moments that make being a mom so fun. I love Dallin so much and glad he can put a smile on my face.

Getting Ready for Christmas

We are definitely getting in the holiday spirit. Our tree and stockings are up along with the rest of our decorations. And there is plenty of snow outside to make it feel like Christmas. One of my favorite parts of the holidays is the food, so I am already planning our yummy menu. I'm trying to keep it small because it will just be us this year.
Scott just started a new job on Monday so we won't be traveling for Christmas. He also has a teachers' assistant job on campus for next semester that he is looking forward to. We are so grateful for all of our blessings especially this time of year!!

Dallin was helping us with the lights and Scott thought it was more fun to put them on Dallin than on the tree.

Feel free to leave them in a comment if they are really short or email them to me at babygirl7_abc@yahoo.com

Not Fun Being Sick!!

Just wanted to update everyone who has been asking about how Dallin is feeling. He finally was able to keep food in his stomach today after four days of vomiting and diarrhea. I have lost count of the number of loads of laundry I have done. He's been pretty much on a liquid diet per doctors orders. We are hoping he is over the worst of it and can try and get back to normal. He has been pretty chatty and playful today so that is better than sleepy and mopey. Thanks to all for caring how we are doing!! Hope everyone has wonderful plans for the holidays coming up!!

Happy Halloween!!

Scott and Dallin made a cute Winnie the Pooh and Tigger for Halloween!! Dallin loved his costume and enjoyed digging the candy out of his trick-or-treat bucket. I'm already excited about coming up with costumes for next year!!

Fun Date Night

We had a fun date night on Friday night. We decided to check out a new place in Rexburg called "The Craze Fun Zone". They have mini golf, laser tag, arcade games, and food. We had a good time playing mini golf and the arcade games trying to rack up tickets. The mini golf is an indoor glow in the dark course that was really fun. That is why the picture is so dark and hard to see.

Our favorite part was watching Dallin ride this horse. He absolutely loved it!!! And when it stopped he kicked it and started bouncing on it trying to make it start again.

Dallin's First Birthday!!!!

Dallin turned 1 on Sunday!! We celebrated on Saturday with family and friends. Thank you to Mema and Papa for coming all the way from Arkansas and Grandpa and Grandma Smith for making the trip from Utah to celebrate Dallin's special day with us. He wasn't too sure about digging into his cake at first, but he got the hang of it. We hope you enjoy all the pictures.

It is hard for us to believe that our little man is already a year old. He is such a blessing in our lives, and we love having him in our family. We love you Dallin!!!

Dallin's Hair

We have been wanting to get Dallin's hair cut for awhile now because it was just getting out of control. I took some pictures at bath time before we cut it so you could see how long it was, and he was being very smiley for the camera that day. The second picture is my favorite with his crazy hair!!

Here is a fun video Scott recorded while I was playing with Dallin's hair in the bath.

Dallin was perfect while getting his hair cut. He just sat in the chair and played with the water bottle. Candace said he was the easiest hair cut she had ever cut on a baby that age.

I think he looks so grown up now and he still has his curls on top. Here is what it looks like now.
