18 Months Already!

Dallin's new stats

Weight: 22.4 lbs (9th percentile)

Height: 33.5 in (83rd percentile)

He has gained 2 pounds and grown over an inch in 3 months time. Dallin is so full of energy at this age. He loves to dance, sing, jump, and play outside. He had his first trip to nursery at church on Sunday. He loved it and stayed in there the whole time. We were so proud of him.

Happy Birthday Scott

We celebrated Scott's 30th birhtday this weekend!! He went shooting with some friends on Saturday morning to have some guy time. Then I took him to see a matinee movie and out to dinner that night. On Sunday we had friends over for cake and ice cream.

Glad you had a good birthday weekend Scott!! I love you!!

Food Choices

Dallin chose to eat asparagus tonight for dinner. We believe its important to offer many different kinds of foods to children because you never know what they will or won't eat.

We offered asparagus to Dallin for the first time with the rest of his dinner, and he ate what was on his plate and even asked for more. I had to give him some of mine. I don't know any other kid that eats asparagus especially this young of age. Way to go Dallin!!

Weekend in Utah

We just got back from Utah this weekend. It was Dallin's first trip in his new front facing car seat. He loves it so much better and the trip went really well. On the way home he fell asleep as soon as we were on the road and didn't wake up until we were in Idaho Falls. So the trip only seemed like 30 minutes for him.

Dallin's Fashion

Dallin has been helping me decide what he wears now (only around the house of course). Today he wanted his shirt off and this hat on. I thought it was funny and really cute.

Just yesterday Dallin thought he wanted to wear one of his diapers on the outside of his jeans. I thought he would take it off as soon as I put it on him, but he wore it around the house for about an hour. He is such a funny kid!!

Bye Bye Curls

This is a typical hair day for Dallin. Full head of hair and curls. Everyone has loved Dallin's hair since he was born. As he has gotten older it has started to get straight, but stayed curly on top of his head. This picture was taken about a month ago and we just got Dallin's hair cut yesterday. His bangs were almost to his eyes and I couldn't believe how much hair was cut off.

This is what he looks like now!! These pictures aren't the best, but you can get the idea of how different he looks. He looks more like a little boy and not a baby. He still has some good wave and body to his hair on top and its really thick. We are glag we got it cut, but Scott and I can't stop talking about how different he looks. I got a little sad when I put him down for his nap and he reached up to play with his curls like he always does before he falls asleep, and there wasn't much for him to touch.

Just around the Corner

Spring isn't here yet, but it is just around the corner. I am so ready for warmer weather. We are supposed to have 40 degree weather this week which will be a lot nicer. I am looking forward to going on walks with Dallin like we did last summer.
I never thought when I first moved to Idaho that I would spend 7 winters here, but I have survived!! With a possible move for us in April the thought that I have spent my last winter in Idaho this year makes me so happy!! I have really enjoyed living here being married with Scott and of course I loved the 4 years I was in school, but I am ready for something different. Hopefully a warmer climate will be in store for us.
