Summer Fun

Dallin just loves being outside, and he loves water!! He loves playing in his little kiddie pool. He splashes like crazy and then laughs when he gets all wet. When I give him a bath now he goes crazy and, I end up soaking wet too.

I have been taking Dallin on walks to the park since we only live a few blocks away. He loves being in his stroller, and he loves to just sit and watch everything that is going on around him.

Scott and Dallin don't know that I took this picture. I had to sneak outside and take it. If they would have known I would have had them move because the lighting is horrible. I was washing dishes on Sunday and I looked out the window to see Scott and Dallin just chillin on the grass. They had gone outside to check on the garden and decided to stop and have some father/ son time. Even though the picture isn't the best its one of those things as a wife and mother that you love to see. I thought it was just adorable.

Purple Potatoes

Scott brought home some purple potatoes the other day so I thought I would give them a try and make them for dinner. I had seen this kind of potato cooked on Food Network before but that's about it. They aren't grown here in Idaho, but they ship them here from Arizona. Here is what they look like. The ones on the right are peeled and the ones of the left aren't peeled.

Here is the finished product of mashed potatoes. Yes, it does look like play-do, but they taste like regular russet potatoes. They have the same taste, texture, and consistency as any other potato. Yummy!! I just wanted to share my crazy food experience with you!!

Sunshine

Dallin loves playing outside, but the weather has not cooperated. It has literally rained here everyday for weeks. It was really nice earlier today, so Dallin and I went outside to catch some rays in our backyard. I am glad we took advantage of the sunshine because I can already hear thunder outside now as I post this. He is getting so big and I think he looks adorable in his hat!!

Water, Water, Water!

We took Dallin swimming yesterday and he absolutely loved it!! We were worried that the water would be too cool for him, but he went right in with no problem.

He's totally relaxing here in his new floaty that Daddy bought him.
