Our most recent posts have been all about Dallin which is just fine by us, but we thought we would share with you our fun outing we had on Friday night. It was Scott's turn to plan date night, and he decided to take us to B.J.'s Bayou. It's a small restaurant in Roberts, Idaho that a friend told us about. Just as the name suggests it looked like someone had uprooted a tiny piece of Louisianna and dropped it in the middle of Idaho. It's a 110 year old hotel that they renovated, and it looked just like in the old movies with the restaurant and bar on the main floor and the rooms on the second floor. The inside was decorated for Mardi Gras with the traditional purple, green, and yellow colors.
The food was real cajun cookin'. We got to try some new things like crawfish, alligator tail, and gumbo. The food was very yummy, and we enjoyed ourselves very much!! The coolest part was the live alligators they had. They had a special room that was kept at about 70 degrees with a pool of water for them. It was like we took a quick trip and for once it didn't feel like we were in Idaho.
