Dallin Scott Smith

We are ecstatic to let everyone know that we had our baby on September 27th at 9:50 pm. He weighed 7 lbs. 15 ounces and was 21 inches long. We went to the hospital at 7:30 Saturday morning to induce and he was born later that evening. He wasn't sure he wanted to come but with a little help from the doctor I was able to deliver him naturally. Here are some pictures of our adorable baby boy!! We sure do love him and are grateful that he has finally arrived to our
little family!!

Welcome Back Friends!!!

Our good friends Kyla and Jordan have been gone all summer working in Pennsylvania. They just arrived back in Rexburg for school last week, so we decided to have them over for dinner on Friday night. Scott has been wanting to use the turkey fryer we bought last year, and we thought this would be fun to do with our friends. Here is how it turned out.

For dessert we roasted marshmallows and had smores using our fire pit. Good times and lots of laughs!! Welcome Back!! We sure did miss you guys.

Handy Man

Scott and I have been noticing that under our kitchen sink we would occasionally find some water. Scott checked it out, and we did have a slow leak from one of the pipes. He is such a handy man that he decided to tackle the home repair himself. He went to Ace Hardware and bought the new part that we needed. He had the sink up and running within no time. Sometimes I think Scott could fix anything, and our landlord loves it because it saves him money not having to hire a plumber.

3 Weeks Left!!

Here are some pictures of my belly that Scott took a few days ago. If you want to see some more you can visit this site http://momentsbykellee.blogspot.com/2008/09/prego-pics-of-aimee.html My wonderful sister-in-law who also did our engagement and wedding photos took some pregnancy pictures for me just a few weeks ago. Feel free to let us both know what you think of them.

Harvest Time

Last week I spent a lot of time in the kitchen trying freeze some food from our garden. Anyone who has ever planted zucchini before knows that more than likely you will have plenty more than you could possible eat. We have been eating it like crazy and have even shared some of it with friends. It's a good thing that Scott and I love zucchini!!!

Then the apricots in our backyard were ripe also and we didn't want them to go to waste either. I didn't have any experience with preserving apricots but between the internet and my wise mother I think I did a pretty good job.
We picked some corn out of our garden last night to see if it was ready to harvest, and it is!! I love fresh corn out of the garden and am so glad we planted a lot because it was really yummy!!
I'm really glad we decided to plant a garden this year.

Preparing for Baby!!

We just purchased some new baby things and we were excited to assemble them right away. First was the pack n' play. I mainly just took pictures and watched as Scott did all the work.
Then we set up the stroller the next night. I helped a little with this one, and Scott only wanted to take a hammer to it once. I hope he doesn't try and fix everything that way. HAHA!!

1 Year Anniversary!!

Scott and I celebrated our first year of marriage on the 11th of this month. The great part was that we actually celebrated it all week. We made a quick trip to Utah on our actual anniversary and we ate at the new Tucano's in Salt Lake. I absolutely love that restaurant. He also took me to Sizzler the next day so I could eat the yummy endless shrimp platter because I had been craving seafood.
Then we went shopping for baby stuff. It was so much fun watching Scott pick out baby clothes. We also purchased a cart seat, stroller, and a pack n' play. They almost didn't fit in our little car to get them home.
We were already planning a trip to Logan that weekend to visit family, but Scott surprised me with beautiful flowers a detour stop in Pocatello on the way. We stayed at a nice hotel and were able to enjoy another few days away from home. It was a great week!!!

This is how Scott likes to relax. :)
